The characteristics of the Agave Manfredii Bloodspot (Mangave).


This hybrid between an Agave macroacantha and Manfreda maculosa is said to have been created in Japan by a producer. Agave Manfredii Bloodspot is distinguished by its compact rosette and spiny leaves, which are reminiscent of Agave. The fleshy leaves are grey-green with red-brown flecks and red spines. In dry or cold weather, the spots become more pronounced and the shades intensify. The flowering can exceed 2m in height, the inflorescence rises above the rosette and develops small green flowers.
